Coaching Funding for League Clubs
Roz advised that we would need to charge
£18-£25 a head if we hired 6 courts at Westgate for 20 participants.
This includes consideration of £60 Hampshire Badminton donation towards costs.
Possible that Sue would be able to negotiate
£175 for 6 courts at Applemore. Although
this is more expensive than Westgate the general consensus that we should try and
arrange in a local venue to attract more clubs.
Mark to speak to Houndsdown for prices.
Roz to speak to Hampshire Badminton to
check if we can use alternative location; consider 2 x 3hr sessions for 2 groups
on 4-6 courts (depends on venue), or just 1 x 3hr session.
Would like to arrange this for May/June
2007.

Tournaments
Agreed the best way is to arrange a mixed
tournament split into 3 divisions, with the 2 winning teams from each division going
forward to the final.
Play 1 game to 21 (old scoring system)
changing ends at 11.
Want to arrange for a Sunday end of April/early
May 2007.
Sue to draft a tournament wording (re.
teams/ranking etc) for discussion.
6 courts to be provisionally booked at Applemore.

Fours League (mixed)
Mark suggested as some clubs are struggling
to put together a team of 6, then we could also run a ‘fours league’ in addition
to the normal mixed league.
Committee to ask clubs for their opinion
